O Christmas Tree

We headed out to the Broken Arrow Nursery to find our tree one briskly cold, winter morning.  Joe is prepared with the saw.  There were so many people though we didn't get one of the cute, little carts.
Me is the midst of trees.
Is this the one?
I think it is!

Me pretending to cut down the tree - really not strong enough to do it - all the credit to Joe

Those muscles carried the tree out too given no carts available.

Securing the tree for a safe journey home.
Taking down the netting.

After putting up the tree and giving him some water, we headed out to New York.  Took a stroll down 5th Avenue for some sight seeing.

Here is a large replica of this year's Swarovski star ornament on display by Rockefeller Center.  Mom and Bryan have given us the annual ornament in previous years.  It was fun to see this display.
Our tree with the lights and star on it.  Ornaments are waiting to be hung though.
Roxy loves the tree.  She'll probably be more comfortable once I finally find a tree skirt I like.

Thanksgiving

We got back home the night before Thanksgiving.  Kitty and Molly were so happy but also so tired.

 Our table all set.
Gotta have the pilgrims and indians
Kade poses pretty well for pictures.  Here he is after putting a Thomas the Train puzzle together basically all by himself.
Finally time to sit at the table, give thanks, and feast.
 Alternate view.
 Yummy . . . ice cream

Kyle surprised us.  Demanded to Mom and Eric he wanted to leave.  After taking him out to the car, turned out he simply wanted his book - turned out to be The Book of Mormon.  Wouldn't let anyone else touch it.
Saturday, we went up to Tuacahn to see their live nativity.  Here we are - little elves.
Got their early enough we could sit in Santa's chair.

The correct man in the chair.  Looks like the real thing.
The nativity was pretty nice - really liked the live animals.

Kade with his new elf who he ended up naming Candy but given he is a boy changed to Handy.
Connor is growing super fast.  Each time I am home each month he is sooo much bigger.  Can't wait to see how he's grown at Christmas.
So nice to be home again.  Thank you to my entire family for the great time especially my parents for all their work to make the holiday special.
