Molly & Kitty for the Holidays '08

As most of you know two of my ultimate loves are Molly and Kitty.  Here are a few of the pictures I took of them that Christmas.  They are the most adorable and lovable pets.  I miss them every minute I am away!
Kade is trying to get Kitty out from her favorite spot that she looks forward to ALL year long.  She just misses the real tree and longs to replace the fake one.  Water under tree = delicious.
Here is Kitty again chilling with her favorite snowman.
Bunny is Molly dog's favorite toy ever.  Thanks mom for getting Bunny for us for Easter one year.  Molls love it.
Pretty much the only time we put an outfit on Molly and Kitty is Halloween and Christmas.  Even then only for a little bit.  Kitty gets pretty mad freezing up like a statue once in the outfit.  Pretends like she can't move so you feel even more pity for her.
Molly dead asleep on the couch with a pillow for her sweet little head.
Two best budds sleeping on the couch together in some holiday gear.  Kitty - Elf; Molly - Santa.

Joe Comes for the Holidays '08

Joe came to Vegas a few days after Christmas. One of the first things we did was make my parents and Ryan some amazing food - sweet n' sour meatballs. Thanks to Mrs. Lydia Buswell we frequently enjoy this delicious recipe that I have loved since Lydia first made it for our roommate cooking group nearly 5 years ago.
Molly is pretty psyched about the meatballs too!
On another day, we went with my parents to tour Red Rock Canyon National Park with the stunning views and sunny skies.
Afterwards, we traveled up to Mt. Charleston for lunch, bought a sled, and went for some slippery slides.
By the end, we were both freezing and very wet. Luckily, my dad had his camera and not only took pictures but a few videos too.

This video shows us going over a little bump and then we keep going for our longest ride of the day.

Thanks to my parents for the wonderful day!!

Home for the Holidays '08

Christmas is wonderful in Las Vegas.  Mom always creates a majestically festive home.  Like every year all of us enjoyed opening our gifts together.

Later on Christmas Day Connie, Eric, Kade, and baby Kyle came over for some yummy food and more presents.

Kade loves coming to Grandma's and looking for my Kitty.  You just say "Where's Kitty?".  Like me he calls her name and says "meow".  First place to look is my room.  Kitty's pretty nice to him but if he yanks too hard she'll hiss.  So be careful.

Here is some of Kade's fun opening presents at Grandma & Grandpa's.

This year for our gift exchange we did not exchange names rather we played a type of musical chairs.  It is a Christmas LEFT-RIGHT story that creates the fun.

Last we shared some cake and ice cream.
Looks like Kade loved his share!!

La Boheme at The MET 12/08

Prior to going home to Las Vegas for the the holidays, Joe took me to New York to see my favorite opera, La Boheme. It was the first show I've seen in the city and first time to the Metropolitan Opera House. The sets were beautiful and the music amazing. Everything was extra special given the Christmas decorations throughout the city.
The entrance to the opera house.
In our seats.
The view.
End of the show with great applause.
