Fourth Of July Weekend (July 4-6)

Driving up to Boston for the Fourth of July - Aubrey was super cute in her dress.  Unfortunately, it was raining a lot so all of the awesome traditional celebration events were canceled, but we still went.  The plus side is there were way less people in the city.
 Gotta love Boston.

She really enjoyed it an loved seeing and feeding the ducks.
 She loved the statues.

 So precious.
 Trying to get the ducks.

 Touring around the North End
So excited to eat the cannolis and deserts at Mike's Pastry.  Sooo yummy!
Aubrey liked the cannoli but ultimately she wanted her food since she hadn't developed a sweet tooth yet.
 At the Paul Revere statue
In the Old North Church to hear the reading of the Declaration
Chilling out in one of the church pews.  We were quite wet from all of the rain.

 Love Boston!
The next day the rain went away which made us more than happy given our plans.  We made our trip out to Walden Pond.  We had tons of fun.  Sitting outside the replica of the house Emerson lived in.
 Saying hi to his statue.
Swimming in the pond.  We loved it once again but I was sad I didn't get to swim out far like I usually do.

 Really happy!
 Playing in the sand.

Make the walk around the pond - she was pretty tired by then but made it through.
How lovely - miss it so much!

Then we made the short drive to Kimball's Farm for ice cream.  They have the best homemade ice cream.

We made it up to Gloucester next to our favorite beach we know of Good Harbor Beach.
 Cutest little beach girl ever!

She absolutely loved the ocean just like mommy.
The waves were perfect and fascinated Aubrey.

In her pretty dress at church.
On the swing by Yale's planetarium after church.  So many wonderful memories in just a few days!

Drive Out and Arrival To CT (June 26-July 3)

Immediately after getting back home from Vegas we started our road trip out to CT.  Here she is starting out on our adventure.
Playing with the microphone as I am driving.
Waking up at our first hotel.  The night before we visited with The Shorters in Lynchburg - it was wonderful to see all of them again - unfortunately I did not take any pictures during our visit though.
She enjoyed having continental breakfast at the hotels too.
Stopping off at a park in Virginia for a break and picnic.
We ran into this really cute community that had this adorable mill at the entrance.
 At another hotel in PA.

 Funny hair after waking up.
We headed out for a visit to Gettysburg.
Joe had us do a bus tour.  Aubrey made it through it pretty well.

We went to several of the monuments ourselves too.  Aubrey was zonked out.

Our first view of The City - my how we've missed it.
We settled into the apartment we subletted for the weeks we were there.  Here she is chilling out the next morning in the rocking chair.
One of her first pieces of candy - she enjoyed it.
We had a picnic dinner at East Rock Park - the view and sunset were great!

We made a visit to the medical school campus and YNHH to see my prior co-workers - it was great catching up with them.
 Happy at bath time.
