Going On Seven Months

Roxy is hanging out more with Aubrey and even holding still a bit when I bring Aubrey over to pet her now.  Here they are hanging out in the morning while I am driving Aubrey's cars towards both of them.
I love in how the photo above they are both looking at me.  Then in the one below they are staring at each other.
We opened Aubrey's last Christmas present Santa left at our house after New Years.  It was pretty exciting especially since it was her big present.
She loves it and is getting better at sitting in it by herself.  She loves to taste test the ladybug's antennas and listen to her sing.
Looking good.  Joe had put the shirt on her earlier and it looked cute but I thought not as cute as I thought it was.  Turns out when I changed her diaper later, he had put it on her backwards.  He thought the buttons and ruffle detail around them went in the back.  In this photo, I have it on the correct way.  What a funny Daddy.
We discovered her first tooth had erupted on about the second.  It is her bottom left front tooth.  It is extremely difficult to get a picture or anything of it.  In this video, you'll see that, but you'll also see how adorable she is when she drives her car and sings.  It is even on cue in this video.  Soooo cute!
Playing with her toy while we finish eating.
 Oh so happy!
 What a cutie!
 Still so happy!
The last pictures in this post are all within a few days before or after her seven month birthday.  Here she is enjoying bath time.  She loves her new bath time electronic book and is now enjoying playing with her bath toys during her baths.  She continues to be an excellent sleeper, but has graduated from her swaddlers.  What a grown up little girl.
Barely fitting into the bath sling.  She sits up quit well now but will still fall forward or to the side.  So I will keep her in the sling until she sits up more confidently or she just cannot fit anymore.
Roxy still comes to join us while we read to Aubrey after bath time.  Here she is snuggled up in the corner.
Enjoying her ladybug rocker.  It is so cute and I am so glad Santa sent it.
Somehow we haven't taken pictures the past two Sundays of her.  They have been busy for some reason I guess from cooking lots of food and not being able to sleep in since church is at 9 now.  But here is a photo of the delicious turkey we made.
She is pretty good at entertaining herself lately just having fun with her toys, rolling around, and talking to herself.

What an adorable face.  She is so happy and we love her lots!

Road Trip Back To Texas and A Happy New Year At the Zoo

We started our road trip back from Phoenix on Sunday night the 30th at about 7pm or so and arrived home at 2pm the next day so it took about 17 hours or so.  Aubrey was again stellar on the entire trip.  She is even happy while on a super long car ride.
 Me driving in Texas.
We went to the grocery store that night and the little one is still happy after we got home from there.
New Year's Eve Aubrey and I were still in our jammies right before we went out to eat.  Joe got the idea to take a picture of all of us in the mirror.
Aubrey now changed for going out.  We went to a Chinese buffet restaurant that was okay, but not good enough for me to want to go back again.  Either way it was fun to go out.  While each of us got up to get our plate of food, we could hear Aubrey talking throughout the restaurant.  It was surprising to realize just how loud she is.
Happy New Year's Aubrey!!  Waking up in the morning.
We decided to go to the Fort Worth Zoo for the day.  Aubrey looking good for the zoo.
There were so many people there they had parking going on in some grass across the street.
She was again excited for whatever we were doing.  We enjoyed the zoo.  It was much bigger than I thought it would be.  Aubrey seemed to enjoy it, but she watched and noticed all the people tons more than any of the animals.
 Nice cheetah.
These monkeys were throwing sticks up at everyone.  Kind of funny.
Crazy how swans twist their necks huh?
Aubrey and Daddy in front of the giraffes.
Cute little baby giraffe in between the adults.

They had two adorable newborn elephants there that were I think eight and five months old.  It was fun watching them run around.
This lion was hiding.  You could only see his paws.
Oh how comfy they look sunbathing.

 Big, pretty birds.
 Cute kissing penguins.
 Huge tortoise.
They had quit a few beautiful cats there.
 Big yawn from this one.
 This is one HUGE alligator!
Love the pose of this little guy.
We had a great day at the zoo and are excited for the upcoming year!!

A Wedding In Mesa!

The day after Christmas we headed out for our short drive (five hours or so) to Phoenix for one of my BFF's, Bethany, wedding.  So we said goodbye for a little bit to everyone.

What a great picture of Grandpa and Baby together.
Aubrey is ready for her short drive.
We hung out with Florence's family during our time there and had lots of fun with them.  On Friday, we went to a park near their home.
They didn't have infant swings, but they had lots of slides which Aubrey had never been on before.  She went down with Mommy.

And she went down with Daddy.

 Elias going down the slide.
 Aubrey down the slide.
Now both Elias and Aubrey together.
 Keila and Aubrey together.
On Saturday the 28th, we drove down to Gilbert for Bethany's wedding, the entire reason for our big road trip.  Aubrey looked more than adorable.
Aubrey was quit talkative on the way down so I made a video.  She stopped talking as much, but I still got her to make a few cute noises towards the end.

It was so exciting to be at Bethany's wedding from the luncheon to the sealing to the reception.  I loved that she had written and read a poem she wrote at the luncheon.  She is an inspired poet!!

Joe and Aubrey hung out outside during the sealing.  Here are a few photos Joe took out there.

What a good girl.  She even napped out there.

Although most of my favorite girls in the world couldn't be at the wedding too, it was so good to see and spend time with two of my most favorite people, Ashton and Lydia, and meet their two cute girls.
 The new couple.

 At the reception.
 What a yummy foot!
Tim and Bethany did a great job cutting the cake and smearing it on each other.
 We all danced together.
Jane, Lydia's youngest, dancing with her Mommy.
 Aubrey dancing with her Mommy.
Bethany on the dance floor twirling with both Halie and Jane.
Because of all the dancing, we got super sweaty.  So I had to take off Aubrey's tights and cardigan.  She even had crazy, sweaty hair to go with it - shows she was being a party girl.
This was really funny.  The DJ had changed the song and it was really loud and surprising.  This is Aubrey's look over there at him - totally funny look.
The decorated car.  Congratulations to Bethany and Tim!!
