Our First Post, Starting Nearly A Year Ago

We decided to initiate this blog with a few memories of our first big move - meeting the families. First we went to Calgary to visit Joe's family in August of '08. While there, we went to Lake Louise in Banff where we shared our lunch with the fearless Canadian chipmunks then headed off for the hot springs for a toasty swim.

A few days later we went south to Vegas where Joe experienced skiing - on water and a jet - for the first time at Lake Mead with my family.

Back at home my nephew Kade had his own fun with the jet skiis too!

Joe finally met Molly and Kitty - receiving the puppies stamp of approval but Kitty was a bit more hesitant.

As a last piece of our Vegas visit we toured the Shark Reef and a few other sites on the strip. Overall, both of us enjoyed our visits and are grateful to our families for the wonderful memories we now have from this trip.
