On a beautiful, though cold Saturday we took off to Lyman's Orchard to find our pumpkins for Halloween this year. Below is the pumpkin patch.
Me talking to Joe regarding my dilemma - which pumpkin to chose of the many?
Little bit of a smile - getting closer.
The Final Four!!
Did some apple picking too - made a perfect apple pie!
Beyond the orchards there is a little pond, store with a corn maze at this time of year. We didn't do the maze - kind of expensive and the line in the maze was even backed up let alone the ticket buying line. Hopefully I'll get in one someday.
Before I left for home, we carved our pumpkins - one of favorite things at Halloween.
The finished products:
Mine is a cute little witches hat with spider dangling from the tip. I was really scared he would break off since he was hanging on just by a thread.
Joe's pumpkin with the spooky "welcome" greeting. I was proud he made it fit and estatic he is now into the tradition of carving pumpkins every year.
