Texas State Fair

Our little girl is so proud of herself when she rolls over!!
Sometimes her play gym gets in her way though.
This past Saturday the 19th, we went to the Texas State Fair.  Unlike last Saturday, it was chilly outside with a little bit of a cold wind.  We dressed her up in an adorable outift that has a matching jacket .  Here she is before we left playing with Little Lamb.

Entire outfit put together.  How cute!
We bundled her up nice and warm with a couple of soft, cozy blankets.  It took a while getting through security.

Watching the doggy show with Daddy.
The puppies did some fun tricks jumping into water, playing with frisbees, and racing each other.
We watched the Pee-Wee Stampede.  Basically, they put a hat and chaps on some little kids, give them a stick horse, and let them jump around.  It was pretty cute.
 This young lady won.
Our favorite part was the greenhouse and Farmer Mike's carved pumpkins.

Baby was asleep while we visited the greenhouse.
There were lots and lots of bunnies on display some really cute and some really big.  They had ribbons on the cages of the winners.
My other favorite were the pig races.  Here is Aubrey watching.

The little pigs were pretty fast and quit funny to watch as they raced each other to the treat (an oreo) at the end.
Here they are at the beginning of their run.
Overall, the State Fair was interesting.  We had our share of fattening, fried food including jumbo sausage, fried oreos, fried pumpkin pie, etc.  Aubrey did amazing the entire six or so hours we were out despite the large crowds and really loud noises.  Maybe next time we go we can try out some of the rides or stay later for the lantern festival.
