My first winter in New Haven, Catherine and I along with some of our PA school friends went to the tree lighting ceremony on the town green. Just another New England event that makes living here a little special. Joe and I went together this particular Christmas. We barely made it before the countdown started. Because I took the pictures with my phone, they didn't turn out well. I look like a blaze of white.
Besides the hot chocolate we warmed up with afterwards, the walk to and from the green was a delight, at least to me. The sidewalks had little candle lights all along the path that lead up to the church on the green. It was a memorable walk even though it was chilly.
